Pastry & International Cuisine Chef (TPC001)

Foreground is partnering with a specialty coffee house in Sharjah that is redefining the café experience with high-quality coffee and an artisanal approach to food. As part of their growth, they are looking for an experienced Pastry & International Cuisine Chef to curate a unique menu that complements their specialty coffee offerings.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute a high-quality menu featuring pastries and international cuisine that enhances the cafés coffee experience.
2. Introduce seasonal and trend-driven items, ensuring a fresh and dynamic menu.
3. Ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality across all offerings.
4. Oversee food preparation, ensuring compliance with UAE food safety and hygiene standards.
5. Manage kitchen operations, optimize workflows, and maintain cost control.
6. Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen team to uphold high standards of execution.
7. Source premium ingredients, manage inventory, and collaborate with suppliers.
8. Stay updated on international culinary trends and integrate them into the menu.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Pastry Chef with expertise in international cuisine, preferably in a high-end café or restaurant.
2. Strong understanding of flavor pairing and menu development that aligns with specialty coffee.
3. Creative and detail-oriented approach to food presentation and quality.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Familiarity with HACCP standards and UAE food safety regulations.
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency and excellence.
7. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
