Job Duties & Responsibilities

As a Pastry Chef in Dubai, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Creating new and innovative recipes for desserts and pastries;
2. Preparing ingredients according to recipes;
3. Baking cakes, cookies, pies, tarts, cupcakes, pastries, and other desserts;
4. Decorating desserts with icing and other toppings;
5. Plating desserts for customers;
6. Overseeing food safety standards;
7. Training junior staff members;
8. Maintaining records of inventory;
9. Ordering supplies when needed;
10. Managing financial records related to kitchen operations.

Requirements for the Position

To be considered as a Pastry Chef in Dubai we require:

1. Diplomas or certificates from culinary schools or institutions related to pastry arts;
2. At least 2 years of experience working in a professional kitchen as a pastry chef or baker (if no experience is available then the applicant must possess strong baking skills);
3. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail;
4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
5. Knowledge of food safety practices;
6. Ability to follow instructions accurately while creating recipes from scratch;
7. Effective communication skills in English (reading & writing);
8. Excellent customer service skills;
9. Strong work ethic & hygiene habits;
10. Willingness to learn new techniques & stay up-to-date on industry trends & developments.
