Job Title: Paralegal

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Reports To: Group Head of Legal

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling basic legal tasks including drafting and reviewing legal documents such as NDAs and MOUs, managing communications with internal departments and external parties, and providing support in legal operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a proactive, task-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents
    • Prepare and review NDAs, MOUs, and other legal documentation.
    • Ensure legal documents comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  2. Coordination and Communication
    • Act as a liaison between the legal department and other internal departments.
    • Coordinate with external counsel, regulatory bodies, and other third parties on legal matters.
  3. Legal Research and Compliance
    • Conduct legal research and provide insights on relevant laws and regulations.
    • Monitor compliance with applicable regulations and assist in implementing compliance policies.
  4. Reporting and Documentation
    • Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for the Group Head of Legal.
    • Maintain organized and up-to-date legal files and records.
  5. Follow-ups and Tracking
    • Track legal deadlines, ensure timely follow-ups on pending matters, and manage tasks efficiently.
  6. General Support
    • Provide administrative support for the legal team including scheduling meetings and drafting correspondence.
    • Draft minutes of meetings as required.
    • Assist in preparing for legal proceedings, audits, or other related activities.

Qualifications and Skills

  1. Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
    • At least 5 years of experience as a Paralegal or in a similar legal role.
  2. Technical Skills
    • Strong understanding of legal terminology, principles, and documentation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools.
  3. Soft Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Task-oriented with the ability to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure.
    • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  4. Key Attributes
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
    • Problem-solving skills and a results-driven approach.
  5. Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience working in a corporate or multinational environment.
    • Additional certifications in Paralegal Studies or Legal Assistance are a plus.
    • Arabic language skills are a plus but not a prerequisite to apply.
