Job Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Chief Engineer and to the Assistant Chief Engineer.
• All work related to the qualifications required for this position includes both the hotel and residence buildings.
• Must be available to work flexible hours and make scheduling changes according to the needs of the hotel.
• Must be able to work well in an unsupervised environment, and also within a team.
• Ensuring adherence to all environmental practices within the Hotel and the Food & Beverage Department.
• Repair cracks and holes.
• Knowledge of mudding and taping.
• Mix paint to desired color and texture.
• Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and/or exterior.
• Be able to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Painter qualifications preferred but not essential.
• Must be able to complete drywall repairs, mudding, painting, staining, wallpaper and stipple work.
• Must be familiar with the ordering process of the paints.
• Must be able to calculate the paint or wallpaper required per job.
