Paediatrician
Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular check-ups to assess the growth and development of children
- Carry out medical procedures and treatments for various illnesses and injuries
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, such as infections, injuries, and developmental delays
- Prescribe medications and provide follow-up care as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create treatment plans and provide multidisciplinary care
- Educate and counsel parents and caregivers on child health and development
- Monitor and document patient progress and keep accurate medical records
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in paediatric medicine and research
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff members, including medical students and residents
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Paediatrics
- Current state medical license
- Previous experience in a paediatric setting is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of paediatric medical practices, procedures, and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine love for children
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to make critical decisions
