Job Title: Outlet General Manager
Job Description:
We are currently seeking ambitious, dynamic, self-motivated Food & Beverage professionals to assist in organizing and directing a team that develops top-quality Food & Beverage products with prompt, accurate, and personalized service.
As an Outlet General Manager, you are responsible for effectively managing all aspects of the restaurant and bar concept to ensure optimum results are achieved across all facets of the operation, in line with departmental targets, policies, and procedures. Your role will include key responsibilities such as:
- Responsible for the business plan and strategy.
- Preparing the marketing and promotional calendar in line with the hotel's F&B marketing plan.
- Fully in charge of selection and recruitment of colleagues in line with Rotana's required skills set.
- Implementing, following, and ensuring consistency of Rotana standards, policies, and procedures.
- Supervising outstanding guest service and serving guests according to hotel standards to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
- Taking ownership for the upkeep of the front and back-of-house areas regarding all physical aspects of the area and the theme.
- Developing and nurturing strong interdepartmental relationships in the hotel such as Sales & Marketing, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Materials.
- Identifying training needs and proposing training plans to maintain standards of service.
- Planning and conducting on and off-job training regularly to achieve Rotana service standards and good product knowledge of colleagues.
- Evaluating team performance and initiating promotions or internal transfers.
- Attending daily F&B briefings or meetings and ensuring proper communication down to the team.
- Preparing duty rota according to the forecast and business trend to ensure adequate manpower for operational needs.
- Being aware of other events in town that may impact the business and maximizing every opportunity.
- Continuously analyzing the market and competition through regular competition checks.
- Resolving guests' complaints directly or consulting the Outlet Manager and/or Bar Manager to maintain guest satisfaction.
- Training personal grooming standards and monitoring the weekly checklist to keep a professional appearance.
- Monitoring hygiene and cleanliness standards in the outlet and upkeep of all service equipment as per hotel standards.
- Having a minimum certification of WSET Intermediate level in wine and spirits.
- Having a minimum of 2 years as a Restaurant and Bar Manager experience.
- Organizing all promotions and preparing post-mortems for the same.
- Preparing an end-of-month report.
- Analyzing and preparing a P&L statement for the outlet.
- Preparing and submitting a Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment Request.
- Continuously striving to improve the RCSS.
- Scoring a minimum of 90% on all Mystery guest audits and Market Metrix; wherever below, prepare action plans and drive improvement.
- Operating in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests' and colleagues' health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.
- Complying with the hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Education, Qualifications & Experiences:
You should be a college/university degree graduate with a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role. You must be computer literate with effective communication skills and an excellent command of written and spoken English, along with excellent presentation skills.
