Oracle Developer

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.
2. 5 years of experience in application development using Oracle Databases.
3. 5 years experience with Oracle Application Express.
4. Ideally, have Oracle Certified DB Professional (OCP) certificate.
5. Experience in administering database platform specific advanced features (e.g. clustering, encryption, logical/physical standby, ETL, replication).
6. Experience in DB design (modeling and normalization), capacity planning, performance tuning, storage management, Data Partitioning, back-up and recovery, managing schemas, data security, report generation and DB clustering technologies, creating and configuring 24x7 highly-available databases.
7. Extensive UNIX/LINUX experience.
8. Hands-on experience with DB standards and end-user applications-translating capacity requirements.
9. Strong practical experience of ORACLE in a production RAC (ASM) environment with latest versions, logical/physical standby, ETL, replication.
10. Must be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail.
11. Experience with an organization with a key reliance on 24/7 reliability on its database.

Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced professional Oracle Application Express Expert with technical skills and knowledge that extends across Database, Applications/ Server/ Storage/ Network technologies. The role performs highly effective centralized Oracle Application Express environment to develop, deliver and maintain custom applications as per the client requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Able to use Oracle Database as an application development platform.
2. Analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of applications in Oracle Application Express (APEX) and client/server configurations.
3. Hands-on experience with recent versions of Oracle APEX (Oracle Application Express).
4. Worked on APEX extensions using Web services (SOAP and Rest).
5. Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support including patch management and version control.
6. Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Oracle APEX to meet business needs.
7. User Interface Design: Create user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for web applications.
8. Database Integration: Develop and manage database objects, queries, and PL/SQL code to support APEX applications.
9. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with people at all levels. Good communication.
10. Knowledge of setting up and troubleshooting Application Server (Tomcat, ORDS).
11. Excellent conceptual knowledge of Oracle 10g/11g/12c/19c, PL/SQL and SQL.
12. Experience in Database design using Normalization and E/R Diagrams.
13. Rich experience in writing SQL queries, Views, Materialized views, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, collections, Ref cursor, cursor variables, System reference cursor, Dynamic SQL.
14. Experience in developing External Tables, Joins, Indexes and sequences.
15. Experience in query optimization, performance and tuning (PL/SQL) using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, Hints, Bulk Binds, Bulk Collect, Creation of global temporary tables and table partitioning.
16. Good knowledge in using PL/SQL Wrappers to protect the PL/SQL procedures and packages.
17. Efficient use of exception handling methods.
18. Experience in using several built-in database packages such as DBMS_JOB, DBMS_OUTPUT, UTL_FILE, and DBMS_SQL to name a few.
19. Experience in using DBMS_SCHEDULER to run jobs in parallel to improve time-constrained performance.
20. Expertise in loading data from legacy systems using SQL*Loader.
21. Experience in creating master detail forms and adding alerts.
22. Experience in deploying forms and reports on the web.
23. Experience in developing forms based on views, tables and procedures in tabular and form layouts.
24. Experience in developing both web layout and paper layout reports in various styles based on the user requirements.
25. Extensively worked with third party database tools like TOAD & PL/SQL Developer.
26. Strong knowledge of Extraction Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes using UNIX shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL and SQL Loader.
27. Good in creating users and maintaining their roles and responsibilities.
28. Experience in writing Technical design documents and developing unit test documents.
