Oracle Database Administrator DBA

Job Scope:

Database Environment Management:

1. Plan, implement, test, and maintain in-house database environments.
2. Setup and configure database engines for development, testing, and production environments.
3. Provide 24x7 support for day-to-day database activities ensuring speedy resolution or escalation of operational incidents/problems.

Monitoring and Optimization:

1. Conduct proactive monitoring activities to prevent incidents and maximize database availability.
2. Perform regular performance tuning of the database including table structure and index optimization.
3. Develop and implement scripts for database task scheduling, monitoring, and maintenance.

Reporting and Analysis:

1. Generate weekly reports on database status for analysis and forecasting usage including tablespace, disk space, and table rows.
2. Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12c cloud for comprehensive monitoring and management.

Backup and Recovery:

1. Manage database backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity and availability.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in administrating Unix OS.
2. Strong knowledge of Unix shell scripting.
3. Experience with PL/SQL development.
4. Familiarity with Oracle-related tools and technologies.
5. Experience using Oracle Data Guard, with or without broker.

Certifications:

1. Preferably hold OCA / OCP Certification (Oracle Certified Associate / Oracle Certified Professional) or equivalent.

Education:

Preferably hold OCA / OCP Certification (Oracle Certified Associate / Oracle Certified Professional) or equivalent.
