OPERATOR - FORKLIFT

Key Accountabilities:

1. Complete the assigned task within the set time frame and man-hours targets without causing injury to personnel or damage to property/environment.
2. Follow safe operating procedures and instructions given by Foreman/Supervision.
3. Ensure safe loading/unloading of materials from trailer-truck to jetty and jetty to trailer-truck.
4. If the travelling route is not safe, take an alternate route.
5. Verify load capacity and center of gravity before lifting.
6. Verify load lashing and securing loads before operation.
7. Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the equipment.
8. Follow speed limits with or without load.
9. If view is not visible, go in reverse or ask a spot man.
10. Do not use forks to slide materials.
11. Use two forks instead of one when lifting.
12. Before movements, check all sides.
13. Identify loads for the right equipment.
14. Routine (Checklist) and inspection of equipment prior to starting work.
15. Report damage/unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
16. Follow day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work, Safety, Quality & Environment.

Experience / Qualification & Skills:

1. Able to drive light and heavy forklifts.
2. Able to identify breakdowns/troubleshoot (will be an added advantage).
3. Secondary school education.
4. UAE License 07 (for Light forklift) or UAE License 08 (for Heavy forklift).
5. Internal Yard Permit (Special).
6. 01-year experience on light/heavy forklifts and side loaders.
