We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations/Collections Manager to oversee and optimize the operations and collections processes in our waste management business. This role is critical to ensuring efficient service delivery, compliance with local regulations, and exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operations management, a deep understanding of waste collection processes, and a commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily waste collection operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Manage fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, maintenance, and fuel efficiency.
• Oversee route planning and optimization to reduce operational costs and improve productivity.
• Monitor operational performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Ensure adherence to local laws, environmental regulations, and company policies.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of drivers, collectors, and support staff to achieve operational excellence.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Collections and Customer Relations:

• Oversee collection and disposal of waste from residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
• Address customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government authorities, and stakeholders.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage budgets for operational and collection activities.
• Track expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate invoicing and collections.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi's waste management regulations and sustainability goals.
• Prepare and submit regular operational reports to senior management.
• Conduct audits and inspections to maintain high standards of service quality and safety.

Strategic Initiatives:

• Identify opportunities for innovation in waste management and implement sustainable practices.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote waste reduction and recycling programs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications :

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Logistics, or a related field.
• Master's degree or certifications in Waste Management or Operations Management are a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations or collections management, preferably in waste management or logistics.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing large-scale operations.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in route planning software and fleet management tools.
• Strong understanding of waste collection equipment and disposal methods.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi's environmental regulations and waste management policies.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically.

Additional Information :

• Valid UAE driver's license.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• The position will be based in Abu Dhabi, and the person should have core strength in terms of knowledge about waste collection operations, ability to understand financial (business models, profitability, etc.), project management skills, along with a strong personality.
