International Community Schools Abu Dhabi is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring the smooth functioning of all operational aspects including facilities administration and support services. The ideal candidate will have experience in a school environment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple departments effectively.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and coordinate all school operations ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all departments including administration, facilities, and support services.
  2. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Monitor the performance of operational teams ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Ensure the school’s facilities are well-maintained, safe, and conducive to a positive learning environment.
  5. Manage maintenance schedules, repairs, and improvements to school buildings and grounds.
  6. Oversee the health and safety protocols ensuring compliance with local regulations and school policies.
  7. Manage relationships with vendors and service providers ensuring that services meet school requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  8. Oversee procurement processes for school supplies and resources ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  9. Collaborate with the Finance Department to prepare and manage the operations budget.
  10. Monitor operational spending and ensure cost control while maintaining service quality.
  11. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across operations.
  12. Supervise and manage administrative and support staff ensuring they are well-trained and motivated.
  13. Provide guidance and leadership to operational teams fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  14. Conduct regular performance evaluations and recommend training and development opportunities.
  15. Ensure that the school’s operations comply with local regulations, school policies, and accreditation standards.
  16. Prepare and submit regular reports on operational performance to the senior management team.
  17. Implement best practices to maintain continuous improvement in operational efficiency.
  18. Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational objectives with the school’s strategic goals.
  19. Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns.
  20. Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence across the operations team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a school or educational institution.
  3. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Experience with budget management, vendor relations, and facilities management.
  6. Knowledge of UAE regulations and standards in education is a plus.
