Operations Manager- Perkins

Overview:

Kanoo Machinery is seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Perkins to oversee and grow the Perkins Engines business in the UAE. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing profit and loss (P&L), optimizing stock control, and fostering strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sales management, forecasting, and business operations within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Perkins Engines business in the UAE, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
• Achieve quarterly and yearly sales targets, managing the business's profitability.
• Oversee sales forecasting and maintain optimal stock levels through effective inventory control systems.
• Manage day-to-day sales administration, including preparing and delivering detailed sales reports.
• Monitor competitor products and pricing to provide regular updates and recommendations to the Business Head.
• Manage relationships with key accounts to drive business growth.
• Identify and onboard new customers to expand the client base.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and foster year-on-year growth.
• Ensure timely collection of payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Work closely with internal teams (parts and service) and external partners (Perkins and manufacturer supply chains) to streamline operations.
• Carry out other duties as required by the Regional Business Head.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in Diesel Engines – Sales & Marketing, with knowledge of Parts & Product Support business
• Experience with Perkins/ Caterpillar engines preferred
• Proven experience in both B2B and B2C sales– developing OEM business
• Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and achieve financial targets.
• Should have handled at least USD 15-20 MN business with P&L responsibility
• Preference will be given to candidates having Middle-East experience
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
