Job Description

We are currently seeking ambitious, dynamic, self-motivated Food & Beverage professionals who assist in organizing and directing a team that develops top quality food & beverage products, with prompt, accurate, and personalized service.

As an Operations Manager i/c Culinary & Service, you are responsible for managing the assigned bar/nightclub to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals. Your role will include key responsibilities such as:

  1. Prepare schedules for all employees according to the forecast and within the limits of the staffing guide to ensure adequate manpower at all times.
  2. Conduct regular training sessions with the assigned team in line with the departmental SOPs.
  3. Evaluate the performance of the assigned team and initiate internal development and promotions.
  4. Responsible for the timely setup of the assigned Food & Beverage outlet, according to the meal settings and in line with the opening hours.
  5. Handle the welcome and seating of arriving guests with the assistance of the Hostess.
  6. Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with the outlet patrons.
  7. Establish and update the outlet's database of regular guests.
  8. Tour the outlet and all related areas frequently, ensuring the highest possible cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  9. Be actively involved in the outlet's promotional activities.
  10. Supervise the Outlet Kitchen in the preparation and presentation of all food items in accordance with the hotel's SOPs and standardized menu guidelines.
  11. Monitor regular standards of production to ensure the highest level of quality.
  12. Monitor all aspects pertaining to the control of the hotel's food cost.
  13. Participate in the drafting of concept ideas and menus for all special events and functions while encouraging all employees to put forward their ideas and utilizing them wherever practical.
  14. Ensure HACCP standards are implemented and follow the appropriate hygiene standards as per Municipality requirements at all times.
  15. Ensure consistent on-the-job training sessions for culinary colleagues and promote health and safety.
  16. Approve requisitions for beverages, condiments, general supplies, and guest supplies, taking into consideration established stocks.

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should be a college/university degree graduate with a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role. You must be computer literate with effective communication skills and an excellent command of written and spoken English.
