Skills Provision is seeking a qualified Operations Manager for a well-established furniture manufacturing business based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The employer has a strong track record with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing and supplying wood and metal furniture across the commercial, industrial, educational, and hospitality sectors.

This role includes a work permit/sponsorship.

Compensation Package:

• Salary: AED per month (inclusive of basic pay, housing allowance, and transport)

Role Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the production team to optimise production schedules.
• Implement and maintain an online planning system in line with company procedures and records.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain and strive to exceed quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Manage expenses and budgets effectively.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote best practices.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Operations Management or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of operations management experience within the furniture manufacturing industry, including carpentry, joinery, painting, and upholstery.
• Knowledge of metal product manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending, welding, grinding, and powder coating is an advantage.
• Proven experience in optimising processes and implementing safety protocols.
• Strong workforce management abilities.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
