Operations Manager

Our client is a retail company looking to expand their footprint into the Middle East. They are looking for an Operations Manager to play a crucial role in the successful launch and establishment of their retail business in the Middle East.

This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of operational processes and market dynamics in the region.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing operational frameworks, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and driving efficient business practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape in the Middle East retail sector.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for business establishment and growth.
• Operational Framework Development: Design and establish operational processes, policies, and procedures tailored to the regional market.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Supply Chain Management: Develop and manage supply chain strategies, including sourcing, logistics, and inventory management to support business operations.
• Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, local authorities, and community organizations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the retail sector.
• Proven track record of establishing and scaling operations in new markets, particularly in the Middle East.
