Operations Manager

Operations Manager | MAF Retail | Head Office UAE

Role Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for directing the daily activities of the team, including labor scheduling, supervision and the proper utilization of space, equipment and manpower. Key responsibilities include: Staffing, receiving, picking operations, picking equipment, loading implementation of safety, security, quality, housekeeping and sanitation programs, budgeting and customer service.

ROLE PROFILE

1. Identify and implement warehouse cost efficiencies and ensure proper control and supervision of the operations team.
2. Develop, implement and direct programs to continuously improve the operational processes on site and to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property is a priority.
3. Propose and implement action plans in order to increase productivity, performance and effectiveness of the operations.
4. Monitor the performance of logistics service providers based on set deliverables.
5. Review and analyze the logistics related processes, applications and policies and propose solutions for optimization and cost reduction.
6. Analyze reports and identify and recommend areas of improvement, suggest solutions and monitor the implementation.
7. Assist with the implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, providing constructive feedback and inputs to senior management.
8. Ensure the implementation of MAF Retail’s corporate policies and relevant procedures.

Requirements

1. Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering.
2. Must have 5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment, with 3 years in an Operations Manager role.
3. Experience with warehouse management system (WMS) preferably SAP EWM.
4. FMCG retail experience is a plus.
5. Excellent analytical skills.
