Operations Manager

Responsibilities

1. Oversee daily operations of the logistics and supply chain functions ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
2. Monitor and optimize operational performance identifying areas for improvement to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
3. Lead and manage a team of logistics and supply chain professionals ensuring high levels of performance, collaboration, and accountability.
4. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
5. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of products and services.
6. Implement and oversee inventory management systems ensuring stock levels are optimized and tracking is accurate.
7. Collaborate with the sales and procurement teams to ensure alignment between customer demand and supply chain capacity.
8. Use data analysis and performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of operations and identify opportunities for process improvement.
9. Manage logistics budgets ensuring cost control measures are in place and cost-effective strategies are being implemented.
10. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations as well as environmental standards in logistics operations.
11. Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions minimizing impact on operations.
12. Regularly report to senior management on operational performance achievements and areas requiring attention.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management with a strong preference for experience in logistics or supply chain industries.
3. Proven experience in inventory management, logistics operations, and process optimization.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors, clients, and stakeholders.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
7. Proficient in logistics management software and data analysis tools.
8. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
9. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
10. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to improve operational efficiency.
