Job Description
Develop and implement the overall operational strategy for the department, aligning with the organisation's strategic objectives and vision.
Oversee the efficient allocation and utilisation of resources (financial, human, and technological) to maximise operational effectiveness.
Continuously monitor and analyse operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions.
Drive operational efficiency and cost optimisation initiatives, streamlining processes and eliminating redundancies.
Manage key relationships with complex, executive stakeholders within government entities, ensuring clear communication and collaborative partnerships.
Develop and implement robust risk management and business continuity plans to mitigate potential disruptions to service delivery.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team.
Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
Report regularly to senior management on operational performance, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Extensive experience (10+ years) in leading operations within a critical government organisation or a large, complex business in any field.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex operations, optimising processes, and delivering measurable results.
Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational challenges effectively.
Strong financial management skills, with experience in budget development and resource allocation.
Experience working within a government environment is highly desirable.
Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
