Job Description:

As the Operations and Planning Manager at EMFT, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our learning and development processes and driving planning initiatives. This role combines operational excellence, planning foresight, and leadership to ensure that EMFT remains at the forefront of the training and consultancy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Planning and Strategy:
    1. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance EMFT's training and development programs.
    2. Conduct market analysis to identify training needs, trends, opportunities, and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.
    3. Collaborate with senior leadership to align training initiatives with organizational goals and client needs.
  2. Operational Management:
    1. Oversee day-to-day operations of training programs, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in delivery.
    2. Implement best practices in training operations, aiming for continuous improvement and excellence.
    3. Monitor and optimize resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure smooth operations and maximum impact.
  3. Program Development:
    1. Collaborate with content developers and trainers to design, develop, and enhance training programs.
    2. Ensure training programs are up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with industry standards and client expectations.
    3. Utilize feedback and evaluation data to continuously improve program quality and effectiveness.
  4. Trainer Management:
    1. Source, recruit, and manage relationships with trainers, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality training.
    2. Provide ongoing support and development opportunities for trainers to maintain high standards of delivery.
  5. Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
    1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their training needs are met and expectations exceeded.
    2. Act as the primary point of contact for high-level client engagements and strategic partnerships.
  6. Quality Control:
    1. Ensure all training programs and initiatives meet EMFT's high standards of quality and effectiveness.
    2. Implement mechanisms for feedback collection, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  7. Innovation and Problem-Solving:
    1. Identify areas for innovation in training methods and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency and program impact.
    2. Address challenges promptly and effectively, ensuring sustainable solutions are in place.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the training, consultancy, or educational industry.
  2. Proven track record of planning and operational management success in a Learning and Development environment.
  3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  4. Excellent project management skills, with a balance of strategic vision and attention to detail.
  5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  7. Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training-related tools.
  8. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  9. Independent worker with proactive problem-solving skills and a willingness to seek guidance when necessary.
  10. Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
