Job Summary:
The Operations and HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing both the day-to-day operations of the company’s logistics functions and handling human resources tasks such as recruitment, training, and employee welfare. This role requires a proactive and versatile leader with a strong understanding of logistics operations, HR best practices, and the ability to work cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:Operations Management:
Oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality service delivery to clients.
Coordinate the transportation, warehousing, and inventory management functions.
Manage relationships with suppliers, clients, and third-party vendors.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise, making recommendations for process improvements.
HR Management:
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts for new hires, ensuring the team has the skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
Develop and implement employee development programs to ensure continued growth and retention.
Manage performance appraisals, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
Monitor and maintain HR records, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Develop and enforce company policies related to employee conduct, attendance, and safety.
Ensure employee well-being by implementing initiatives for a positive work culture and work-life balance.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations and HR management, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
Proven track record in managing both operations and human resources functions in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of logistics management processes, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
Experience with HR processes including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
