Operational Risk Manager

We're looking for a talented Operational Risk Manager with a focus on Third-Party Risk Management to join our rapidly growing digital bank. You'll be responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational risks, especially those associated with third-party vendors, to ensure the continued success and security of our digital banking services.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Risk Identification & Assessment: Identify and assess operational risks across systems, processes, people, and external events, ensuring the bank is well-prepared for potential risks.
2. Third-Party Risk Management: Take charge of identifying, assessing, and managing risks related to third-party vendors, safeguarding the bank's partnerships and operations.
3. Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and controls to manage the identified risks and ensure smooth banking operations.
4. Risk Reporting: Prepare and present insightful risk reports to senior management and relevant committees, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
5. Operational Risk Management Tools: Utilize your expertise in tools like RCSA, Control Testing, KRIs, OR Event Management, and Issues and Action Plans to strengthen the bank's risk framework.
6. Policy Development: Develop and maintain risk management policies and guidelines in line with regulatory requirements and best practices, ensuring compliance and alignment with industry standards.
7. Training & Awareness: Promote a strong risk culture within the bank by delivering training and raising awareness of operational risk management among staff.
8. Operational Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments across departments, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate identified risks.

What We're Looking For:

1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in operational risk management, with specific expertise in Third-Party Risk Management, ideally in a digital banking environment.
2. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CORM) would be a plus.
3. Skills:
   • Strong understanding of digital banking operations and third-party vendor management.
   • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights.
   • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and foster a strong risk culture.
   • Experience in implementation of operational risk systems such as Archer is a plus!
