Job Description

The Operations Manager at Ali & Sons Interiors Division will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring project efficiency, maintaining high standards of quality, and achieving client satisfaction. This role demands a strong background in interior design or fit-out projects, exceptional leadership, and operational management skills to drive excellence across all projects.

Operational Oversight

  1. Manage daily operations, ensuring all projects are executed within budget, scope, and schedule.
  2. Monitor project progress and address challenges proactively.
  3. Streamline processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Project Management

  1. Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  2. Coordinate with project managers, design teams, and contractors to meet project goals.
  3. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
  4. Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of designers, project managers, and site supervisors.
  5. Set clear goals and expectations for team performance.
  6. Facilitate training and development programs to enhance team capabilities.

Client Relations

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for key clients.
  2. Ensure client requirements are fully understood and implemented in project execution.
  3. Resolve client concerns promptly and maintain strong relationships.

Budget and Financial Management

  1. Prepare and manage budgets for projects and operations.
  2. Monitor financial performance and implement measures to optimize profitability.
  3. Approve expenditures and ensure alignment with financial goals.

Vendor and Supplier Management

  1. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  2. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
  3. Evaluate supplier performance and enforce quality standards.

Quality Assurance

  1. Implement quality control procedures to uphold design and construction standards.
  2. Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to specifications and timelines.

Reporting and Analytics

  1. Generate periodic reports on operational performance, project progress, and financial metrics.
  2. Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement improvements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in operations or project management within the interior design or fit-out industry. Proven track record of managing large-scale projects successfully.

Skills:

  1. Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  2. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  3. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  4. Deep understanding of interior design processes, materials, and construction standards.
