Job Overview:

The role incumbent is responsible for planning and coordination of the operating room scheduling system in conjunction with the Anaesthesiologists and Nurse Managers; and supervise the overall functioning of the Daily Schedule Coordination.

Description of the Tasks:

1. At all times promotes optimal and effective patient safety practices to other HealthHub colleagues, patients and their families.
2. Support the Theatre department activities related to the management of data, analysis and accurate presentation.
3. Support all aspects of HealthHub compliance activities and assisting the continuous compliance with and adherence to the accreditation Standards.
4. Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centred care culture.
5. Participates in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities.
6. Takes surgery bookings from authorized sources and prepares/disseminates the daily surgery schedule.
7. Serve as the main contact within the Operating Theatre and maintain the procedure board and relay information as necessary.
8. Responsible for the confidentiality of information that they access to or came across during their work at HealthHub.
9. Participate in educational opportunities related to the functions of the department.
10. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
11. Ability to coordinate, track and effectively communicate frequently changing surgery schedule.
12. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, to work well under pressure and to work effectively with others.
13. Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and disseminate information.
14. Submit the needed quality data on the agreed timeframe.
15. Maintain the stocks inventory in theatre for all the consumables in the theatre.
16. To maintain the Par level for the stocks in the theatre.
17. Participate in indenting the stocks and maintaining the stocks, inflow and the outflow accurately.
18. To participate in the other department related activities allocated by the manager.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, preferably in Healthcare Management, Nursing or Science.

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

1. Minimum 2 years UAE healthcare experience in a similar role.
2. Require the basic knowledge in UAE authority approvals.
3. Excellent computer skills with desire to increase efficiency by the use of an automated surgical scheduling system and other computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments.
4. Knowledge of medical terminology required to be successful.
