Otolaryngologist Responsibilities
Treating nosebleeds, tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, infected mastoids, and sinusitis.
Assisting patients with a limited or altered sense of smell.
Treating conditions of the ears, upper pharynx, oral cavity, larynx, nose, face, and neck.
Making charts about the history of all the patients for future reference.
Treating patients with tumors in the head or neck or patients with defects in the ear, nose, or throat.
Collaborating with other medical practitioners.
Otolaryngologist Requirements
A medical degree.
A license from the state is also required to practice.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Perfect vision and visuospatial awareness.
Good organizational ability.
The ability to work well alone and within a team.
