Offshore Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Work with a team of engineers and designers to deliver civil and structural design calculations and drawings within stipulated timeframes.
2. Possess good analytical knowledge of In-place, Preservice, Spectral Fatigue, Seismic, Pushover, and Jacket Mating for fixed platform structures, as well as In-place, Lifting, Transit, and Blast conditions of offshore structures.
3. Provide guidance and instruction to engineers for various secondary/miscellaneous calculations and to designers for detailing and drawing.
4. Prepare specifications for design basis reports and soil investigations in line with project requirements.
5. Engage in cross-functional teamwork to optimize layouts and general arrangements of structures, vendor drawings, and foundation loads while resolving interference issues.
6. Coordinate engineering efforts with other departments, project teams, and site teams for inputs or comments on civil and structural drawings prior to submission to the client for approval.
7. Conduct technical discussions with subcontractor consultants to review and approve drawings and design calculations.
8. Utilize industry software such as 3D Model Review Tools (SPR and Navis Works), along with MS Office Suite.
9. Review geotechnical reports and interpret soil parameters for the analysis and design of shallow and pile foundations.
10. Participate in project coordination meetings with the site, vendors, review consultants, and clients to resolve technical issues, prioritizing engineering activities to meet project schedules.
11. Evaluate supplier and subcontractor bids for compliance with COMPANY specifications and scopes of work.
12. Conduct site visits to resolve construction problems and site mismatches with respect to drawings issued for construction.
13. Provide pre-bid engineering support by calculating architectural, civil, and structural BOQs.
