Job description

The Unit Manager will collaborate with the Quality Assurance & Pedagogy Manager to improve branch processes and oversee and coordinate all operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. The Unit Manager must be a clear representative for Dibber and show loyalty to Dibber's goals, strategy, and action plans.
  2. The Unit Manager shall guide its employees to ensure that the operations are in accordance with laws, regulations, the Dibber Way, Collective Bargaining Agreements, as well as internal guidelines and financial frameworks.
  3. The Unit Manager is responsible for ensuring critical functions such as answering emails, admission of children, correct staffing, etc., even when the Unit Manager has holiday or is absent.
  4. The Unit Manager keeps the Quality Assurance & Pedagogy Manager oriented on important developments in the Unit.
  5. The Unit Manager must hire and develop the right employees and ensure that employees always have the necessary competence and motivation.
  6. The Unit Manager shall conduct regular and systematic discussions with pedagogical resources, including structured conversations with employees, probationary interviews, and corrective conversations.
  7. The Unit Manager shall follow up on agreements, goals, and objectives with employees after employee conversations.
  8. Dibber's quality standard 'Safety, Warm People, Professional Best' is used actively when hiring new employees and throughout employees' careers in Dibber.
  9. The Unit Manager has the responsibility to resolve conflicts between any parties in the Unit when the parties themselves do not reach an agreement.
  10. The Unit Manager must ensure that all complaints about the Unit and the employees are followed up.
  11. Implementation of tasks the Unit has with respect to Dibber's organizational, planning, and management document (Accountability for results).
  12. Efficient use and management of the Unit's finances according to set budgets and targets (Financial responsibility).
  13. A user- and service-oriented development of Unit services (Service responsibility).

Qualifications:

  1. Cache Level 5 or equivalent certificate.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in the same role.
  3. Higher education within pedagogy/teaching and experience from work in kindergartens. Leadership education is preferred.
  4. A Unit Manager must expect to work after office hours when needed.
  5. The Unit Manager must have a strong leadership profile with the ability to motivate, engage, and lead people through vision and clear goals.
  6. It is expected that the Unit Manager can work independently and systematically while being visible in the kindergarten.
  7. The Unit Manager must be a strong team builder with the ability to bring out the best in both individuals and groups.
  8. The Unit Manager must be a good communicator with the ability to create strong relationships.
  9. The Unit Manager must be result-oriented, have courage, and a positive attitude, and should enjoy new challenges and working under pressure.
