Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with traumatic brain injuries, utilizing advanced neuropsychological testing to tailor rehabilitation plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive neurological examinations to diagnose conditions such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke with precision.
  • Interpret electroencephalograms (EEGs), magnetic resonance imaging (MRIs), and other diagnostic tests to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists and psychologists, to ensure holistic patient care and optimized rehabilitation.
  • Stay current with advancements in neurology through continuous education and participation in clinical trials for innovative treatment options.
  • Educate patients and their families about neurological disorders, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to enhance quality of life.
  • Perform minimally invasive procedures, such as lumbar punctures or botulinum toxin injections, to alleviate symptoms and improve patient outcomes.
  • Manage chronic neurological conditions by adjusting treatment protocols based on patient responses and emerging research.
  • Conduct research to contribute to the field of neurology, publishing findings in reputable journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Supervise and train residents and medical students, fostering the next generation of neurologists through mentorship and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain accurate medical records to uphold the highest standards of patient care.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • MD or DO with specialized training in brain injury medicine, neurology, or rehabilitation medicine.
  • M.D. or D.O. degree with specialized training in neurology from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in neurology is mandatory to validate expertise and commitment to the field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in neurology, with a focus on patient-centered care and evidence-based practices.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus to cater to diverse patient populations.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex diagnostic data and make informed clinical decisions.
  • Exceptional communication abilities to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using advanced medical technologies and software relevant to neurology.
  • Empathy and compassion to understand and support patients dealing with challenging neurological conditions.
  • A commitment to lifelong learning, evidenced by participation in professional development and continuing education.
