Network Security Engineer Responsibilities

1. Responsible for planning, designing, optimizing, and implementing the network system focused on enhancing the security of the managed networks.
2. Proactively identify and mitigate potential threats, ensuring the robustness and resilience of the network against attacks.
3. Conduct thorough audits of the network security systems, ensuring compliance with the latest security standards and best practices.
4. Review, configure, and maintain all network security systems and associated software.
5. Assist in the selection of appropriate controls, control objectives, and activities to achieve and improve security posture.
6. Implement security configuration changes and apply security fixes and patches in a timely manner.
7. Proactively identify opportunities to improve the security of the network systems.
8. Work with the IT leadership team to execute strategies and plans to improve network security and address identified risks.
9. Ensure that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate network security controls and fine-tuning configuration.
10. Document the configuration of all network security systems and ensure that all documentation is updated to reflect any changes.
11. Deliver the Vulnerability scan based on the schedule and communicate risk and impact to the leadership team and customers.
