Job Profile: Network and System Presales Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their business needs, technical requirements, and challenges.
• Conduct technical assessments and gather requirements for network and system infrastructure projects.
• Develop high-level and detailed network and system architectures, including LAN/WAN, servers, storage, virtualization, and security solutions.
• Prepare comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ), technical proposals, and solution diagrams.
• Demonstrate technical capabilities through product presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions.
• Collaborate with OEMs and vendors to obtain optimal solutions and pricing for projects.
• Work closely with sales teams to identify new business opportunities and provide technical guidance during sales pitches.
• Support post-sales activities by transitioning projects to implementation teams with proper documentation.
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, including switching, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
• Familiarity with system infrastructure such as servers, storage, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with passive components like CCTV, UPS, cabling, etc.
• Capability to handle RFPs, RFIs, and tender documentation accurately.
• Capability to manage projects and to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Capability to develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones to monitor progress.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or VMware are highly desirable.
• PMP (Project Management Professional), or equivalent certification.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in a technical presales or solution architect role, preferably in networking and system domains.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering successful network and system solutions.
