Network Administrator

We are looking for a Bilingual Network Administrator candidate proficient in both Arabic and English for a governmental entity onsite in Sharjah.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Infrastructure Management
   Administer, configure, and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and other networking equipment to ensure optimal network performance.
   Perform regular network health checks, upgrades, and patch management to prevent vulnerabilities.
2. Network Performance and Troubleshooting
   Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and latency to ensure minimal downtime and optimal efficiency.
   Diagnose and resolve network outages, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner.
3. Security and Compliance
   Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access controls.
   Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation activities.
   Ensure compliance with IT policies, regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NESA), and industry best practices.
4. User and Access Management
   Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies to enforce security policies.
   Oversee secure remote access solutions and implement multi-factor authentication where necessary.
5. Documentation and Reporting
   Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, incidents, and troubleshooting procedures.
   Provide regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and recommended improvements.
6. Project Support and RFP Preparation
   Assist in IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
   Support the department by preparing RFPs for section projects, evaluating vendor proposals, and ensuring alignment with technical and security standards.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Education & Certifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Networking, Electronic and Communication Engineering, or a related field.
2. Industry-recognized certifications such as:
1. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
2. CompTIA Security+
3. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (preferred)
4. Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) (preferred)
5. Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH)

2. Technical Expertise

1. Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in network administration, security, and infrastructure management.
2. Expertise in configuring and managing enterprise-grade network devices such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Avaya systems.
3. Strong knowledge of firewall administration, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
4. Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure networking) is a plus.
5. Familiarity with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
