Job description
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized medical care to newborn infants in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs)
- Assess and monitor the health and development of newborns through physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and medical histories
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for newborns
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and recommend therapies as needed
- Provide education and support to families, including explaining medical conditions, discussing treatment options, and addressing their concerns
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in neonatology through ongoing learning and professional development
Requirements
- Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Neonatologist Specialist
- Board certification or fellowship training in Neonatology
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating medical conditions in newborn infants
- Expertise in providing specialized medical care in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs)
- Strong knowledge of neonatology principles, practices, and treatment modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with newborn infants, families, and healthcare professionals
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address complex medical issues in newborns
