Responsibilities
Assess and manage the health of newborn infants, including diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
Provide specialized care for premature infants, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing respiratory support.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
Educate parents on newborn care, feeding techniques, and potential health concerns.
Perform procedures such as intubation, umbilical line placement, and lumbar punctures.
Monitor and interpret results from laboratory and imaging tests.

Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
Minimum Requirements
Medical degree and completion of residency in pediatrics.
Fellowship in neonatology from an accredited program.
Board certification or eligibility for certification in neonatology.
