MSO/Health & Safety Officer

Leams Education is inviting applications from school experienced MSO/Health & Safety Officers with NEBOSH certification, to ensure that all health and safety protocols are being adhered to in compliance with KHDA/DHA/DM guidelines.

1. Develop regulations, policies, standards, and guidelines to improve health and safety procedures for the school related to the safety and security of students, people, and property.
2. Monitor the implementation of these procedures.
3. Train relevant staff on best practices and Dubai Municipality (DM) & KHDA requirements.
4. Conduct all necessary training for students and staff.
5. Manage the designated isolation room on the school premises.
6. Provide guidelines on the daily and continuous cleaning and sanitisation requirements for school premises.
7. Adhere to DHA regulations.
8. Undertake fire safety audits, and coordinate with the Civil Defense during inspections and other fire & safety issues.
9. Undertake evacuation drills and produce appropriate reports.
10. Conduct and deliver fire safety training and orientations to all newly hired employees and conduct refresher courses on an annual basis for all employees and maintain records of attendees.
11. Identify potential safety or fire hazards; take action or make recommendations to eliminate hazards during regular inspection rounds.
12. Conduct all necessary contact tracing procedures by coordinating with the school clinic (which includes contact tracing, recording of contacts details, and all actions taken in the HASANA system).
13. Manage all emergency situations abiding by H&S protocols.
14. Update contact and emergency numbers for staff and students.
15. Schedule stakeholder meetings to address priorities and result-oriented solutions.
16. Coordinate with the operations/maintenance team to ensure that H&S safety protocols are strictly followed.
17. Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
18. Record and investigate incidents; conduct a risk analysis.
19. Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to the school management.

1. Proven experience as a school MSO/Health and Safety Officer with NEBOSH/IOSH CERTIFICATION.
2. Knowledge of the principles of safety, accident, and fire prevention.
3. Ability to maintain composure and respond properly during emergencies.
4. Knowledge of regulatory policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
5. Experience in writing incident reports and policies for health and safety.
6. Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
