Job Description

What You'll do:

Equipment Operation

Participates as a member of the team in the operation for a complete production line in an allocated plant area to ensure continuous and efficient operations and the meeting of line production targets.

System Performance

Monitors system performance and, under the direction of paper machine supervisor, manipulates calibrations and settings to ensure synchronization of unit stages, efficient throughput and minimal down time.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshoots routine, by implementing CIL and defect handling system during the process through recalibration of Centre line in order to keep production breakdown and unplanned stops to a minimum. Escalates the more serious malfunctions to paper machine supervisor.

Reporting & Documentation

Logs operating parameters, DMSs to ensure operations are within normal limits and that all irregularities are reported to paper machine supervisor for advice.

Raw Materials

Reports availability of raw materials consumables against the production plan to his supervisor in order that shortages do not interrupt production.

Maintenance

Reports malfunctions and undertakes minor maintenance activities in order to optimize operating efficiency and prolong asset life and value.

What You'll Need

1. First level supervisory potential.
2. A minimum total of 3 years of experience on paper machines.
3. Strong knowledge of operating and safety procedures and standards.
4. Strong knowledge and understanding of equipment and processes in his own area.
