Middle/Senior School Librarian

Responsibilities:

1. To ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.
2. To empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information.
3. To instill a love of learning in all students and ensure equitable access to information.
4. To collaborate with classroom teachers.
5. To provide the leadership and expertise necessary to ensure that the school library program is aligned with the mission and vision of the school.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in any related field of study.
2. A minimum of two years experience.
3. UAE work-related experience is an advantage.
4. A compassionate and patient individual with an ability to educate and motivate students of all ages and aptitude to collaborate with teachers and other staff.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Professional personal presentation.
7. Good attention to details.
8. Excellent organisational skills.
9. Able to work on own initiative.
10. Able to work in a busy multicultural environment.
11. Good time management skills.
