Microsoft Cloud Specialist

As the Microsoft Cloud Specialist, this person will play a critical role in developing, operating, and securing our Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions. The role requires a senior-level professional with a proactive, self-starting approach to establish and expand our Microsoft Cloud Strategy. This person will lead the migration to M365, ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, and act as the subject matter expert in Azure and M365. This position reports directly to the IT operations manager and will be integral to shaping the future of Microsoft Cloud services within the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Operate Microsoft Cloud Environment

• Manage and expand the Azure environment, ensuring security and compliance with industry regulations.
• Ensure the secure and reliable operations of the Microsoft 365 solutions, tailored to Company's needs.
• Document all developed solutions, including architecture designs, implementation steps, and operational guidelines.

Lead Migration Projects

• Drive the migration and tenant merger of the Company to Microsoft 365, developing roadmaps and aligning with organizational goals.
• Plan, implement, and oversee migration activities with minimal supervision.

Administration and Development

• Create architectures for solutions requested by the business in line with IT and IS standards.
• Administrate and enhance Microsoft Azure and M365 environments.
• Design and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions for business needs.

Automation and Innovation

• Expand automation within the Company, leveraging Microsoft technologies to streamline operations.
• Implement infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to enhance automation and reliability.

Advanced Support

• Provide third-level support for Microsoft Azure and M365-related issues.
• Act as the go-to expert for resolving complex cloud and M365 challenges.
• Ensure troubleshooting steps and resolutions are documented in available tooling for RCA and future references.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Relevant IT Certifications (preferred): Microsoft certified: AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect, AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate, SC-900 Security (Compliance and Identity fundamentals), ITIL Foundation (optional for process alignment).

Professional Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 roles, and at least 5 years in a multinational organization.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Cloud Security and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, Ansible).
• Hands-on experience leading M365 migration in complex environments.
• Demonstrated ability to create clear, concise, and accessible technical documentation.

Skills and Competencies:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Landing zone, compute, storage, networking, and identity).
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 suite, including Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar).
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Ability to create high-quality architectures, configurations, workflows, and operational processes.
• Familiar with DevOps and ServiceNow for Incident and Change management.
