Job Description

Summary/ Objective
Merchant Acquisition team members will be tasked with the initial stages of business development where they will be contacting some of the world’s largest financial institutions, local merchants, and key clients with the aim of setting up meetings and establishing new lines of communication.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Promote and present to merchants, retailers, and other entities in UAE the PayTabs products to acquire new business partners.
  2. Maintain merchants relationships to ensure continual growth and sales targets.
  3. Create, develop and implement a business plan to grow the business.
  4. Build and manage the relationships of key accounts.
  5. Generate, maintain and increase business opportunities with existing merchants.
  6. Train the merchant staff on the PayTabs products.
  7. Sell and service the PayTabs products to merchants.
  8. Provide customer data to the merchants to show that PayTabs is adding value to their business.
  9. Develop and grow sales and support team.
  10. Manage the merchant collection process for cardholder payments to merchants.
  11. Manage and regularly update project planning and create projections using all means including spreadsheets.
  12. Support the business in any way as requested to ensure its effective operation.
  13. Design, create and supply business proposals to banks and merchants.

  5. Understands the local merchant acquiring landscape, key players in the industry, regulations, scope and opportunity in digital payments.
  6. Very strong English & Arabic communication and articulation in order to articulate the company’s value propositions to various clients.
  7. Innovative forward thinker and a dynamic business hunter with the ability to not only meet but exceed stated sales goals.
  8. Understands and accepts that lead generation is the responsibility of the sales force. Utilizes time in this regard to always set new goals and achieve aspirational goals and targets.
  9. At both an operational and strategic level, manage channel partner relationships to the benefit of the company.
  10. Strong business knowledge of Financial Services and Technology (both creative and disruptive).
  11. Required excellent relationship skills and merchant network within the UAE and can prove such.
  12. Sales and negotiation techniques.
  13. Cold calling.
  14. Sales closing.
  15. Strong interpersonal skills.
