MEP Technician

We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC MEP Technician to install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems. The technician should have knowledge of plumbing and electrical works. The HVAC Technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems. You will guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate air quality system to fulfill their requirements. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs. The technician should also have expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems in residential and commercial structures. Additionally, the technician should be proficient in fixing domestic appliances, such as dishwashers and gas cookers, and inspecting drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.

MEP Technician Responsibilities:
- Interprets blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
- Installs pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
- Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation.
- Assembles fittings and valves for installation.
- Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building.
- Uses saws and pipe cutters as necessary.
- Installs heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters.
- Collaborates with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing.
- Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
- Analyzes problems and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair.
- Chooses plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building.
- Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes.
- Writes reports documenting problems and summaries of actions taken.
- Performs inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts.
- Prepares bids and schedules and oversees other workers, such as apprentices and helpers.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identifies maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnoses electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Clears, adjusts, and repairs systems, and performs warranty services.
- Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Provides technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeps daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensures compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complies with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
- Assists with customers' queries.
MEP Multi Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Working knowledge of boiler systems.
- Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.

Pay: From AED 2,500.00 per month
