The MEP Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings. They perform routine maintenance, diagnose and fix issues, and ensure that systems are operating efficiently. Additionally, they collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs as needed.
Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to ensure smooth project completion.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of MEP systems.
Interpret technical documents and blueprints to perform installation and maintenance activities.
Monitor energy usage and recommend energy-efficient solutions.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant vocational or technical certification.
Proven experience as an MEP Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
