MEP Planning Engineer - ALEMCO

Position Overview

Planning Engineering with minimum 5 years' experience in the MEP projects who can handle projects independently, develop EPC work schedules, analyze data, generate reports, and deliver presentations to various stakeholders.

Core Job Functions

1. Understanding project specifications, components, drawings, BOQ and developing baseline programme by adapting appropriate phasing and zoning plan.
2. Establishing the labor resource loading schedule, within the allowable budget.
3. Prepares the 'Authorities Approval' process flow chart and tracks this flow chart, in line with project requirements.
4. Analyze the critical path in P6 and notify Project manager the foremost list of critical path activities.
5. Track the delivery of long lead materials into stage wise requirement at the site, highlighting the priority of materials to the Project Manager, as per the agreed schedule.
6. Establishes the delay analysis by capturing the delay analysis, notification and EOT claims accurately, in line with the project requirements.
7. Prepares the Look-ahead schedules, KPI tracker and the progress updates based on the QC WIR approval.
8. Setup presentation of the Progress updates including Schematic layout illustration.
9. Lists the top 10 issues that delays a project with detailed reports, as per the agreed schedule.
10. Collates, analyzes reports from the site team to ensure that delays, stoppages, constraints and deviations are recorded, in line with the project requirements.
11. Develops the tender technical programme, including the mobilization period and activities showing the sequence and timescale to start engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, in line with the project schedule.
12. Generate an overall method statement describing engineering flow process, procurement strategy, logistics, site storage, material movement and how the whole MEP system will be installed & commissioned as part of technical submission requirements.
13. Demonstrate pre-bid and post-bid tender presentations in the Client meetings.
14. Manages the engineering information management main systems, preparing the schedule and schematics as well as a cause and effect matrix, in line with the project requirements.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical). In-depth technical knowledge of the MEP Systems and its work Sequence, Logic & Interface. Professional in Primavera latest version Specialized in MS Excel by demonstrating skills in creating reports using dynamic formulas, Pivot table and Macros. Proficient in Bluebeam & Adobe Power BI skills preferred.
