MEP Engineer
Job description
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and oversee the installation of MEP systems for construction projects.
- Conduct inspections to ensure that MEP systems are installed according to design specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate MEP systems into project designs.
- Monitor the progress of MEP-related work and ensure compliance with project schedules.
- Perform cost estimation, budgeting, and material procurement for MEP works.
- Ensure compliance with UAE safety standards and regulations related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to MEP systems during construction and post-construction phases.
- Prepare and review detailed project reports, including designs, as-built drawings, and specifications.
- Supervise MEP contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Manage maintenance schedules for MEP systems to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience as an MEP Engineer, with at least 6 years in the UAE.
- Proven expertise in managing MEP systems for large-scale construction projects.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP tools.
- Familiarity with UAE regulations and standards for MEP systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with project teams and contractors.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to troubleshoot MEP issues.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.
- Professional certifications in MEP or relevant disciplines are an advantage.
