The Department of Medical Sciences, within the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at Khalifa University, covers a wide array of fields, including biogerontology, healthy longevity, chronic disease studies, the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, and the development of genetic and non-genetic tools for precision medicine.

The department is part of a young, vibrant college with four departments (Medical Sciences, Epidemiology, Biology, and Biomedical Engineering), offering four PhD programs, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees. The department currently offers a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Precision Medicine.

Desired Candidate Profile
A Ph.D., MD, or equivalent degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related disciplines from an accredited institution is required, along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates with education and/or prior service in distinguished institutions of higher education.
Candidates should demonstrate expertise in fundamental or applied research, possess an established research track record, and have a strong publication history in top-tier journals. The applicant should have experience in writing competitive grants and attracting external research funding. A strong commitment to teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels is also required.
