Medical Oncologist

A dermatologist is a medical professional specializing in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. They provide medical and cosmetic solutions to improve patients' health and appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

• Diagnose and treat various skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer.
• Perform skin evaluations and biopsies to identify underlying conditions.
• Develop customized treatment plans for chronic or severe skin diseases.

Procedures and Surgeries:

• Conduct minor surgical procedures, including mole removal, skin tag removal, and biopsies.
• Perform advanced procedures like laser therapy, cryotherapy, or chemical peels.
• Administer cosmetic treatments, such as Botox, fillers, and microdermabrasion.

Consultation and Education:

• Provide advice on skincare, sun protection, and anti-aging treatments.
• Educate patients about preventive care and maintenance of healthy skin.
• Counsel patients on lifestyle changes to improve dermatological health.
• Maintain accurate records of patient history, treatments, and progress.
• Ensure compliance with medical ethics and patient confidentiality.

Research and Continuing Education:

• Stay updated with the latest dermatology advancements and techniques.
• Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance professional skills.

Minimum Requirements:

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and specialization in dermatology (e.g., MD or board certification).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in both clinical and cosmetic dermatology.
• Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing by the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi.
• Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in using dermatological tools and technology.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
