Collects maternal blood at the laboratory whenever required.
Ensures that all necessary documents and relevant information related to collection, processing, testing, and cryo-preservation for the CBU and maternal blood are maintained.
Follows aseptic methods for collection, processing, testing, and cryo-preservation.
Weighs and verifies the CBU and maternal blood suitability, including volume and integrity according to the SOP, and assesses for acceptance of CBU for processing.
Makes database entries and bar-coding/labeling.
Responsible for documentation of the samples data into the CBU Worksheet.
Analyzes and informs the troubleshooting of equipment or processes to the laboratory director.
Responsible for quality control and calibration of all equipment in the assigned area of work.
Responsible for sterility control of the processing room and laminar flow cabinet as per the task schedule.
Responsible for running, calibration, maintenance, and reporting of the flow cytometry.
Responsible for enumeration and analysis of CD34+ cells and hematopoietic progenitor stem cells through CellQuest Pro.
Responsible for cord blood sample analysis.
Responsible for buffy coat isolation through Sepax.
Manages and prepares internal products as per the requirements of the process and SOP.
Documents and labels all products prepared and stored in the laboratory.
Responsible for sterility control and release.
Extends duty in case of emergency and when directed by the laboratory or medical director.
Staff is on call duty on weekends as per the duty schedule.
Responds and coordinates with the manager when the alarm of the cryogenic room is triggered, on duty or off duty.
Prepares the dry shipper for shipping as required.
