Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our accredited laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform a wide range of diagnostic tests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH) standards. This role requires a strong commitment to quality, collaboration, and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct diagnostic laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, and immunology.
2. Analyze, interpret, and validate test results with precision and accuracy.
3. Collect, prepare, and process biological specimens following strict protocols.
4. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting and calibration.
5. Document and report findings in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
6. Adhere to quality control standards and participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.
7. Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi DOH regulations and international laboratory standards (e.g., CAP, ISO 15189).
8. Communicate critical and abnormal test results promptly to the relevant healthcare providers.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
2. Certification & Licensure: Valid Abu Dhabi DOH (Department of Health) license or eligibility to obtain one. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (e.g., ASCP, AMT, CSMLS) is preferred.
3. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a clinical laboratory setting; experience in Abu Dhabi is an advantage.
4. Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in laboratory techniques, instruments, and technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teamwork. Knowledge of DOH regulations and international laboratory standards.

Abu Dhabi Medical Requirements:

1. Compliance with Abu Dhabi DOH guidelines for licensing as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
2. Proof of vaccination as per UAE healthcare regulations.
3. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred).
4. Successful completion of health screening and background checks.
