Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely diagnostic information to support patient care.

Responsibilities

1. Sample Collection:
   Collect various types of patient specimens, such as blood, urine, and tissue samples.
   Ensure proper labelling and documentation of collected specimens.
2. Laboratory Testing:
   Perform a wide range of routine and complex laboratory tests on collected samples.
   Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
3. Data Management:
   Record and maintain accurate and detailed records of test results, procedures, and patient information.
   Utilize laboratory information systems (LIS) for data entry and retrieval.
4. Venipuncture:
   Perform venipuncture to collect blood samples from patients.
   Use proper techniques to ensure patient comfort and specimen integrity.
   Properly label and store collected blood samples for transport to the laboratory.
5. Infection Control:
   Adhere to strict infection control procedures to minimize the risk of contamination during sample collection.
   Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
6. Communication:
   Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel and other healthcare team members regarding sample collection and any issues that may arise.
