Medical Coder

As a Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare industry by reviewing and accurately assigning medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services provided to patients. This role requires a deep understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT. Responsibilities

7. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate coding and billing processes.
8. Resolve any discrepancies or coding-related issues that may arise during the coding process.
9. Protect patient confidentiality and secure sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
10. Participate in coding audits and continuous quality improvement efforts to uphold coding standards.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
2. Certification as a Medical Coder (e.g., CPC, CCS)
3. Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
4. Proficiency in using coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT
