Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge of clients' business and their competitive environment
Perform client and media background research
Prepare and distribute a full range of written materials including press releases, newsletters, by-line articles, client correspondence, and reports
Develop and maintain media contacts and databases
Provide on-ground media relations assistance for coverage of ongoing events
Assist and coordinate special events (e.g., press conferences, media events, and interviews)
Assist in execution of social media programs outreach
Establish, develop, and maintain strong and effective media relations with local and international media
Establish and maintain relationships with media - TV, print, radio, web, etc.
Research media and develop creative story angles/news hooks to secure press
Support account PR account responsible with press release writing, media list creation and maintenance, and other projects
Send press releases, features, and other promotional materials to newspaper editors and ensure strong follow-up for excellent news coverage
Gaining publicity and disseminating information to members of the press or other media representatives
Ensure the company reputation is promoted effectively through positive relations
Requirements
UAE National with family book only
Ability to be proactive and assertive in efforts to secure media
Fearlessness in phone pitching and constant engagement of the media
Writing awareness - with a preference for press releases, articles, blogs, and content marketing
Superb communication skills preferably with an outgoing personality and hunger to learn
Understanding of the media and what "is and isn't a story," the ability to create, develop and execute story angles and pitches
Proven book of media placements and business media connections
Someone who enjoys the art of the media (watching, reading, communicating) and the art of pitching

Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Journalism, Media or related degree
0 - 2 years' experience in PR, Media, Mass Communications or Journalism Industry
