Technician – Mechatronics

Job Summary:

• Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, calibrating, testing, and installing various equipment under the mechatronics category on board and in the workshop to meet project targets.

Technical Competencies:

• Maintain and troubleshoot various equipment such as Plasma Cutting and Robot Cutting machines; all kinds of DC Motor Drives and Controllers for various workshop machinery.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on the above equipment (including vibration analysis).
• Ensure materials meet required standards prior to use, reporting damages as necessary.
• Maintain proper housekeeping throughout the production process.
• Report work status/progress, tool damage, and process errors to the respective team leader.
• Maintain good working relationships with workers, appointed foremen, supervisors, and management.
• Perform duties of a foreman as required or appointed for individual projects.
• Attend any training required by the department.
• Follow day-to-day operations related to the job to ensure continuity of work.
• Possess good technical knowledge of Plasma Cutting and all kinds of DC Motor Drives and Controllers for various workshop machinery.
• Preferably have additional technical skills in Robot Cutting machines, AC motor drives, inverters, PLC transducers, and communication systems.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of the preventive maintenance process (including vibration analysis).
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Education:

• Secondary school/ITI/High School.

Experience:

• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in a similar field.
