Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. This is a full time onsite position with business trips.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Engineering Hub in Sharjah, UAE.

Key Objectives

  • The safe and effective delivery of a portfolio of brownfield critical projects.
  • Management of the project from Design through to Handover to Operations.
  • Establishment and management of the project team.
  • Provide certainty and confidence to the client and Wood project sponsor.
  • Deliver the assigned projects within the established commercial framework.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Project Execution

  • Technical and commercial responsibility for execution of the contract.
  • P & L responsibility with associated commercial and financial accountability.
  • Organize the project team and motivate team members.
  • Identify and communicate project team objectives.
  • Delegate work to the project team members.
  • Provide leadership and management to ensure safe, cost effective and timely resolution of all interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain effective working practices.
  • Coordinate site supervision work and manage various contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications.
  • Responsible for leadership and excellence in the achievement of coordinating both technical and governance through the Stages of the Projects.
  • Participate in assurance activities and peer reviews.

Qualifications

What makes you remarkable?

  • B.S. or equivalent degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience in major Brownfield oil & gas projects.

Knowledge, skills and experience :

  • Demonstrable ability to manage EPC and/or EPCM contracts.
  • Specific experience managing lump sum Oil and Gas projects.
  • Thorough understanding of project management techniques and practices.
  • Good knowledge of contracting models and conditions.
